Eternal and Loving God

In the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that tore through Haiti we continue to remember those who are suffering.  We know that you have called us to care for and have compassion for people who are hurting. We pray for children who have lost hope through the loss of family and loved ones related to this disaster and ask for your comfort and reassurance of hope for a new day.  We thank you for some sense of stability and routine coming into their lives as schools in Port-au-Prince and other towns opened their doors to students.  We pray that the activities, though they are minimal, will be a glimmer of light for their communities and those who educate them.  We also pray that full services will be restored as buildings are re-constructed, and people return to work.  We thank you for the many relief organizations and individuals that give of their time and resources to lift others in various ways. Your healing hand and presence is needed and welcomed to sustain and revive the country of Haiti.  Believing that you are willing and able to supply what is needed, we ask in Jesus's name. Amen.
