Victory
Who can claim the Victory? I believe anyone who serves God. This reminds me of Daniel and how he had prayed everyday three times a day. And how some evil men had went to King Darius and pursuaeded him to put into law that no one could pray but only to him. Daniel knew this was not right and continued to pray.
These men waited and watched Daniel as he opened his windows to pray. Then they went to the king to tell him that Daniel had broken this law. His sentence was to be thrown into the Lions den. Anyone would have been afraid of this fate. But Daniel knew God would help him.
I have wondered why God did not just keep Daniel from all this hardship, but I believe it was to show Gods power is stronger than any mans. God heard Daniel the first day he had prayed and sent his angels to fight. As they threw Daniel into the lions den he was not hurt for God had shut their mouths. What a mighty God, no man could do that.
Sometimes our situation in life looks like that lions den and we have to go in even when we think God should keep us from such horror. But just as Daniel kept his faith in the Almighty we must do the same. King Darius did not sleep at all the night he had Daniel thrown into the lions den, for he knew he had done wrong. But when he went to the den the next morning he asked not knowing what to expect. " Daniel hath thy God delivered thee." Daniel replied " Oh King live forever my God has delivered me." You see sometimes we have to face the lions of life but if we keep our trust in God he will do for us what he did for Daniel, shut the lions mouth and bring us out in Victory!!!!!!

Which side Lord
I was thinking about this as I spoke to someone last night. We were talking about a person who is really down on their luck. I have been praying for God to work a way out for this person in this time of trouble. The person I was talking to made the comment "We both know this person deserves everything that has happened to them." I quickly said you know all that this person has done is in the past, they don't deserve such hardship just because they used to be a bad person.
Then as I was driveing home I began to wonder all this time in prayer that I have been spending is it reaching God or is it getting hit by the thoughts of this other person before it can reach God. Or is there a tug-of-war going on between the two wishes. So it made me think which side God will you choose.
I think no matter what God looks on the heart of whoever is living for him. He hears every word his children say. So I know that God hears my prayer and will answer my prayer according to his will. So no matter who has woeful wishes God answers the well wishes. Thats why I love him.

Ok God!!!!
There are times in our lives that we wonder is God really there, is he really listening, or does he really care. From this I have a reference. I know this family who have served God for many years and done the best they could to not go against God. They are faithful in their work for him and they give to help others. And yet they are struggling to survive.
You may be saying OK so what about it. Well it made me wonder God do you see these people? Do you not care that they are struggling? Are they not worthy of your grace and favour? You know all the quick questions.
Then the Lord reminded me of when Jesus was in the ship with his deciples and the storm came up against them and it looked like all would be lost. Jesus was asleep in the sturn getting much needed rest. As fear gripped the hearts of the men on board they wondered does Jesus not care that we perish?
They went and woke him up and told him of the situation aboard. Jesus spoke and asked them, " Where is your faith". Jesus then spoke and the wind and waves calmed. What power there is in just a few words. Words that were spoken by the master. It opened my eyes that God has not forsaken this family he is just waiting on their faith. We have to believe that God will do what we have asked. Even if there is a storm between you and the answer he is still able to speak peace.

Victory today is Mine!
This is the title to an old hymn That says Victory, Victory, Victory is mine I've had in my soul since Jesus made me whole. Victory Victory, Victory is mine. The victory today is mine. That song came to me this morning as a reminder of the spirit filled revival service I went to last night. Oh my how God moved and touchd and people responded.
That right there is the key to it all. People need to respond to the moving of the Lord. If we will then we can see him move in a mighty way. It's like the stories of the Bible, Moses and the Red Sea, Noah and the Arc, Daniel and the lion's den, and David and Goliath. Jesus and his miralces. All of those are amazing to read and see God's power in them.
But just as then God is not limited in his power and what he can do. We could still see those kinds of things if we would respond when God is trying to move. Some people fear the Holy Ghost, but that made me think back to when Jesus said, " I must go away but I will send you another comforter." Being the Holy Ghost.
Why would you fear a gift so great as that. It made me think of it kinda like this. When we lay down at night we get comfortable in our bed, then we pull our comforter (blanket) up around us and we feel good. We do not fear that comforter it keeps us safe and warm, and protected. My,my, my you see that is the same feeling we should have about the Holy Ghost he came so we could feel safe, warm and protected.
When we do that and let God bless us then we can sing that old song Victory today is mine. Because when you trust in God and trust in his word and allow the Holy Ghost to move in your life you will have Victory!!!!!!!

Why do we love?
I was thinking today as a situation arose in my family yet again. There are some of my immediate family members who don't seem to care that another family member is under attack. Then I realized that is humanity. If we are not living for God we are opporating in the flesh.
I felt agravation toward these family members. I even told another person that these family members should just say I don't want to be apart of the family and be done with it. Then the Lord showed me there was no love in that attitude. I had to repent and ask God to forgive me, and help me not lose my love for people.
So why do we love? This is why----For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth on him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16. That is why we love.
We have to love people even when they are not trying to love.

The Lord giveth, The Lord taketh away
You know this passage has been used so many times for different times in our lives. When some one passes, loss of a job, loss of a home. There are so many different expeirences that go with this passage.
It brings me to a time in my life right now. You see I had a very beautiful baby boy in April 2008. And due to a congential birth defect the Lord took him home just twenty four days after his birth. It was a very life changing time for me. I had never known such loss or pain until I was standing face to face with it. And at this time I found this passage being said. The Lord giveth, The Lord taketh away. But no one spoke to me the rest of this passage. Where it says Blessed be his name. you see God did what was right for my son. And though it grieved me so I knew in my heart God was right.
I placed my son in God's hand and said Lord whatever you decide I will agree. I still miss my son very much and ache for his presense but what a thrill that also fills my heart to know he is resting safely in God's care and I can see him again.
This takes me to another situation that is near to my heart. A lady I know had prayed for a hedge of protection around her grown son for a certain need. And it seemed for the longest time God allowed him to not be endangered. Then one day his circumstances met him face to face. It had seemed the hedge this lady had prayed around her son God had removed it. The lady asked why would God remove this hedge.
For the circumstances were greater than they could bear it seemed. It made me think The Lord giveth, The Lord taketh away. Then it dawned on me to share with this lady what God showed me. Blessed be his holy name.
I know it to be true that even in the hardest of times if we will began to bless the Lord and his holy name we will see things begin to change.

My heart can sing
There is a song that says, My heart can sing when I pause to remember. You know that is true even in the very hardest of trials, and our minds are swirling with chaos, if we will just stop and let our mind relax we can find a song. I think the biggest battlefield for humans is our minds. We get easliy overwhelmed with thoughts that hold no real meaning but can become tormenting. Like things from our pasts that we know we have recieved forgiveness for, but still they drift in and out like they own a spot in our minds.
We need to put a hold on our mind and let our heart have some time to speak. And you will find that there inside the place that has seemed silent for so long little notes and melodys of peace will be heard. Why do you suppose God put songs in our hearts and not our minds? I believe its because the mind in it's fluries of thoughts cannot focus on the goodness of God. But the heart is ever singing his wonderful love and grace. So I encourage you to put your mind on hold and let your heart sing out it's song of praise to God, and I believe you will find a greater peace in whatever you do.

God's Safety?
You know sometimes we wonder where God is in our lives. We have stormy situations rise up and it seems life is giong to swallow us whole. God's Safety? We quickly wonder why are we having to endure such hardship. Especially when we have been faithful in our life for God and done everything he expects.
It is there we have to remember that he said he would never leave us nor would he forsake us. I think sometimes we want a care free life to which we have no worries. If that was the case there would be no reason for God's word that says, Cast your cares upon him for he cares for you.
It made me realize that God's safety comes in many forms. I have someone I know who is in jail and from this they have tried to take their life. They want out of jail but, has stated they would end their life when they get out. Many people are praying for this person and I believe God has not let them out of this situation to keep them safe. God's Safety! You see this person although the situation is uncomfortable they are safe where they cannot harm themselves. God's Safety!
I know God has the answer and it will come in his time not ours. That is God's Safety!!!!!

Peace that passes all understanding
This morning I was talking to my sister-in-law. She is in a difficult family situation right now, her elderly grandmother is dying. She told me even with the choices they have had to make she feels peace. I thought isn't great that even in times like these God can speak peace into a person life and make things feel calm and ok. And how people who haven't talked to God in awhile seek him out.
I guess deep in every person there is a belief that there is a higher power. If only those who thought that this is just a higher power really knew it was God our Heavenly Father.
Jesus said My Peace I leave with thee. Why did he say that? Because he knew that every person would need that Peace that passes all understanding in one certain time in their life. Wow to think not just any Peace but the very Peace Jesus had himself.
I believe we need to go back to our first faith, and be as a little child, that place where we believe anything can be done. And whatever we believe for becomes accomplished. It is THAT Peace that passes all understanding.

Same Boat
Well this morning I went to the store and I wanted to get a few small things not much maybe use about ten dollars. That didn't happen, see I have a real hard time buying anything for myself. Why you might ask, it's just ten dollars? The reason is I realize I have more bills to pay than I have spending money. So therefore I do not reward myself. Even though I have worked hard for my money. I have asked prayer for finances and thought to myself, I wonder how many more people are this same boat with me.
And since it seems to be a never ending ride of poverty, I thought we are looking ahead but, still seem to be going no where. Then it hit me maybe we are rowing in circles. A boat can't go forward if those who are paddling are paddling two different directions. That makes the boat turn in circles, and from this ride I have become sea sick.
In my flesh I am tired of struggling to just get by. But, in my spirit I know I have to keep trusting God for the answers. How great is the Lord that he will open your eyes to see things in a more educational light. One that helps you get a mind grip on how to make changes in you life situation.
I now feel as I have written that even though I am left with no EXTRA money. LOL that my father owns the cattle on a thousand hills and he will keep me.
