A Prayer When in Grief

God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. —Revelation 7:16-17

Heavenly Father, you know how deep my grief
is. I long for the touch of a hand, the sound of
a voice that is stilled. You are merciful and kind.
You will comfort my wounded heart. Wipe the tears
from my eyes. Thank You for understanding so well
our poor human hearts and for letting us lean on
You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
