Getting Your Way: Priceless
May 22, 2009

Because some days you should get what you want.  That's my explanation for this picture.

Henry is wearing the PJ bottoms he begged to keep on,  the shoes he insisted on (one  a rain boot and the other a pair of sandals).  He's eating peanut butter from a spoon and enjoying his binky.

It doesn't get any better than this.

I love this picture! The joys of childhood!

It brings a smile to my face --just like the one of Henry eating a frozen treat, that you had I think last summer.

It is nice that you are enjoying your boys so much now.  Kids really do grow up so fast!

Blessings!  Marci'a

The look in his eyes says it all!

Ah the joy of childhood!

Some days I wish I could go to work dressed this way and with wonder in my heart.

When my daughter was your son's age, she used to wear two or three pairs of sweatpants at the same time. I'm sure it was a little steamy but it wasn't worth arguing over. Another time, at Halloween, she wanted to be a red vitamin - that certainly was a mystery! - so I made her a little pod with a face cut out - I'm a terrible seamstress so  it sure had people guessing and I'm sure it was an original; I still haven't seen a red vitamin in a costume shop!

May once in a while we put aside being a "grown-up" and be a kid again - eat three popsicles, catch a firefly, play hopscotch or... wear two different shoes!

In Him,

Beautiful.  He looks happy and content to do his own thing...just the way childhood should be.

Blessings,

I love this picture!  it's one you'll treasure even when he's grown.  I enjoy your blog and the notes about sitting on the porch/deck and looking at the stars i can so relate to.  My son just spent a week and a half with pneumonia.  Even though he's 12 and no longer a little guy, I still worry and I never sleep well until I know he's turned the bend and is getting better.  I don't consciously feel worried, but I think God puts something in Moms that makes us this way.

Sabra,

This is hilarious!!!!!  Your son reminds me if my 4 year old Grandson - sometimes, you just gotta have control :)  Thanks for the moment of laughter and joy today :)
