New technology and cyber-sites such as Facebook and MySpace and text-messaging, allegedly bring us closer, but in actuality, in other ways we are further apart from one another than ever before. Yes, the Internet may reconnect us with someone from the past, or may educate us, and enable us to shop online, yet there is nothing like a one-on-one chat over a cup of coffee, a walk with someone, a shared experience. That personal touch - literally - speaks volumes that can never be adequately expressed electronically. We have lost that -

However, I can say without the Internet, I would not be as close to the Lord and to fellow Christians. Where would I be without OurPrayer and Guideposts?

Ok, Lord, as I struggle to hang on to the past, may I be open to new things of the future and use them to bring us closer to you.
