About Me
Bio:
Born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island, I am the granddaughter of Sicilian immigrants. An avid life-long learner, I hold a Doctor of Law, Masters in Teaching and Master in Fine Arts in Creative Writing. I practiced law for eighteen years before becoming a high school English teacher. Currently, I teach writing at a Pacific Northwest university. When I am not writing or teaching, I enjoy reading, gardening, traveling and spending time with family and friends. My stories have appeared in Guideposts Magazine, English Journal and Curriculum in Context. My first book, Pieces of Someday will be published by Gemelli Press in late 2009.

Quotes: And he spoke to them at length in parables, saying: “A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path, and birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky ground, where it had little soil. It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep, and when the sun rose it was scorched, and it withered for lack of roots. Some seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it. But some seed fell on rich soil, and produced fruit, a hundredfold.” —Matthew 13: 3-8
