Raised in the bible belt of the U.S, I was brought up with traditional beliefs but my heart is open to anyone. I have overcome many obstibles in my life; each time with the help of God. I could most likely relate to any problem fellow users of this site my need help with. I want to be of assistance to others and grow in my faith while also overcoming my current short comings. Journey:
I was raised by a devoutly religous divorced mother. She was no a Sunday morning worshiper (she had to work two jobs to raise three young boys) but rather lived her life as an example of true Christian faith and kindness. As a child I was a member of various churches and protestant denominations. While my mother worked, she always made sure we went to church whenever she could get us there. Just like people, some churches were more christian like than others and unfortunately there were several pastors whom left an unfavorable memory of the sterotypical Sunday morning Christian. I currently do not attend regular church services and would like to attend. However based on my past experiences and lack of guidance I don''t know how to begin. I do pray often but not everyday. I read the bible occassionally; expecially to alleviate any anxeity this world can cause.
Interests & Activities:
I love to run and have actually run marathons but due to work load and stress have been unable to pursue my passion. I also enjoy bookstores (reading), and movies.
Denomination:
Currently not a member of any church but have always been protestant, usually Baptist; though this does not preclude any other protestant religion to me.
Goals and Dreams:
To one day feel as if I can make a difference to people. I am know as the guy who would give his shirt off his back to you but I want to make a bigger contribution to society; especially people in need of mental, emmotional or spiritiual help.

Graduating from college after working and paying my way through before the advent of studnet loans.
Biggest Challenge:
I currently suffer from a severe aniexty disorder, have low self esteem, and bouts of depression. I am currently seeking professional help. These stem from lifes many tramuas. I need your help and helping others is one way I think would help me.

I have had many sunday school teachers but the primary teacher has been self taught though several readings and I hope the direction of God.
