  “This year has seen big changes for us, with the children in school,” JULIA ATTAWAY of New York City writes. “The biggest adjustment has been adapting to having less time together. Elizabeth’s off at high school, the city math team and her youth choir; John and Maggie sing in a neighborhood jazz choir; Maggie’s had roles in two children’s theater productions; Mary dances (and dances and dances); and Stephen fills the day with his impishness and laughter, keeping me busy while I try to do freelance marketing work. With all the busyness in our lives, it’s a great joy to hear Mary say at bedtime, ‘But, Mom, I want to wait up so I can talk to Elizabeth!’ Keeping our priorities straight—putting God and people first—is the only way to stay balanced.”
